Hard test to the taronja unbeaten streak in the Top16 with the visit to the court of Unicaja Malaga

With the ticket for the quarterfinals already certified the last round in Belgrade, Valencia Basket visits the court of Unicaja (Wednesday 30, 20:45h, Martín Carpena, Teledeporte) in a game of the 7DAYS EuroCup round 5 in which the taronja squad could mathematically certify the first place in Group G in the event that wins in its fourth visit to Malaga in European competitions. A victory that would lengthen the excellent shape of the taronja squad both in the EuroCup (eight wins in a row) and in all competitions (15 wins in the last 16 games).

 

If Valencia Basket defends the particular basket-average with Unicaja with a defeat by 11 or fewer points, it would continue depending on itself to be first of the group G at the end of the Top 16. The Montenegrin center Bojan Dubljevic, who comes from being last Player of the Week and is the most valued player in this second round, will face other of the best players of the tournament (the French Lessort, which is the third most valued player in the Top 16).

 

Point-guard Antoine Diot (grade 1 left hamstring injury) and power-forward Louis Labeyrie will be sidelined for this game, but Valencia Basket recovers Guillem Vives and Fernando San Emeterio with respect to the last game of European competition and Joan Sastre after resting on Sunday in Endesa League for some discomfort in the back. Valencia Basket is leader of group G of this Top 16 with a balance of 4-0.
